No one would have guessed that this exceptionally modern flat is located in the Romanian capital Bucharest. Authors of this reconstruction are the architectonic office Square ONE. Originally this penthouse with an inner elevator, detached only by glass panels and a curtain, contained two flats with a mutual access staircase. This space was eventually turned into one huge flat with four rooms, two bathrooms, storage spaces and a corridor which creates a spine of the whole flat. Since it directly joins the entrance this solution was the most practical. Its width of 1.5m allows it to contain various storage spaces.
Another points of interest are the two sliding panels, that divide the zones of relaxation and the public ones. The kitchen is merged with the living room and together they became a central meeting place for the whole family. Main colours, white, black and brown, are complemented by subtle accents of green or purple according to situation. Architects paid attention to the overall expression of the house but devoted their effort to the smallest of details such as the amazing sink or LED lighting.
